Putting pictures on the blog is really easy.
When you are on the ‘Write Post’ page, there will be a place where you type text (like I’m doing right now). At the top of this box is a little blue line. It says ‘Post’ in the upper left. Across from that, you will eventually come to ‘Add media:” which is then followed by 4 buttons. The first button allows you to add a picture, like this one:
Once you press the button, you will be given options of where to put the picture, how big you want it to be, and what pictures to put in.
If you are going to put in a number of pictures, the size option you should choose is ‘Thumbnail,’ which will look small but will allow people to choose which ones they want to see big, and will make the page load faster.
Also, if your post is getting long, it might help to use the ‘more’ option. It’s in the bar just below the one we were just working on. This bar is slightly darker blue. It has options for Bold, Italics, strikethrough, etc. About two thirds of the way across there is a little icon that looks like two pages of paper with a dotted line between them (right past it is the spellcheck). Click on that button, and you will get one of these:
Keep typing after the line, and whatever you put after it will only appear if someone clicks the link. This way, if someone is not interested in seeing a post, or has seen it already, they can skip it.
Plus, the page will load faster. A plus if you’re posting a bunch of pictures.
Hope this helps.
